Re'pa travel: Philip park biking/bicajjal

In almost every park there are places (shelters ) for people to come together and have a picnic or grill their food.

so the other day i was biking in that park, found a nice place to sit and just enjoy the view of the bay, the water birds around, and people coming for a run or with their dogs.

while sitting i saw the head of a manatee a few times and later a family came and they said to their little boy: look, a dolphin! i was like, sure, a dolphin. than i looked: and it was there, a dolphin was swimming along the bayshore, playing in the water - coming to the surface of the water and dissapering from our eyes.

after that i only saw smaller fishes which were jumping out of the water to the air in order to "swim" in the colours of the sunset :)

About the manatees (if somebody doesnt know who they are, as i also didnt know it before :) : Manatees (family Trichechidae, genus Trichechus) are large, fully aquatic, mostly herbivorous marine mammals sometimes known as sea cows. They are very smart (similar to dolphins), have a long memory capacity, they dont have any hair, and they eat almost all day long, v e r y s l o w l y .

in florida with the help of an expert, u can swim together with the manatees.

i think i will make some pics about houses here, because for me they look so different than i am used to .. i am not even sure why.. but they look like in the american movies ;)

Majdnem minden parkban, ahol eddig jártam, van több-kevesebb fedett piknikező hely, ahol barátok, családok, emberek összejönnek szabadidejükben piknikezni, grillezni.

Valamelyik nap itt bicikliztem, majd egy padon üldögélve élveztem az öböl látványát, a vacsorát halászó vizi madarakat.

Nézelődés közben egy tengeri tehén (manatee, tengeri emlős) feje bukkant fel a vízben többször. majd jött egy család, és a kisfiuknak mutatták: nézd, ott egy delfin! persze hallottam már, hogy vannak errefelé delfinek, de még egyet se láttam. viszont ahogy arra néztem, tényleg ott úszott egy delfin a parttal párhuzamosan, játékosan egyszer felbukkanva a vízből, megmutatva magát, majd alámerülve.

utána már csak a kisebb halakat láttam, amint kiugrálnak a vízből a levegőbe, hogy megmártózzanak a lemenő nap sugaraiban.

A tengeri tehenekről azért írnék néhány szót, mert Florida előtt nem nagyon tudtam mi fán teremnek:

A manátuszfélék vagy manátifélék (Trichechidae) az emlősök (Mammalia) osztályába, azon belül a tengeritehenek (Sirenia)rendjébe tartozó család.

Testük hengeres, csaknem egészen csupasz, csak itt-ott viselnek szétszórt sertéket. Farkúszójuk kerekített, mellső úszójukon 1-4 elcsökevényesedett, lapos körmöt viselnek. Metszőfogaik korán kihullanak, szemfogaik hiányoznak, zápfogaik időnként cserélődnek, az elhasználtakat hátul újonnan képződők pótolják.

Húsukért, zsírjukért és bőrükért korábban nagy mértékben vadászták őket. Vegetáriánusok, majdnem egész nap esznek és a delfinekhez hasonló intelligenciával és hosszú távú memóriával rendelkeznek.

Floridában képzett kísérő segítségével együtt is lehet velük úszni.

Azt hiszem majd csinálok néhány képet az itteni házakrol, mert annyira mások, mint az otthoniak, nem is tudom megfogalmazni miért... mint az amerikai filmekben, olyanok ;)
